Ross Pearson's UFC explosive power workout 2
Ross Pearson used his explosive power to put away Spencer Fisher at UFC 127. Here's how he hones it.
Since the UFC and WEC merged last year, the UFC's lightweight division has become the promotion's most bloated category. And it's something they're remedying by being more ruthless about cutting fighters.
Lose two fights on the bounce and you're more than likely to get your marching orders so, following his loss to Cole Miller at UFC Fight Night: Marquardt vs. Palhares in September 2010, it was crucial that UK lightweight Ross Pearson won his next fight at UFC 127 in February 2011.
After a tentative start, he put on a display of explosive takedowns and pinpoint punching to earn a decision over wily US veteran Spencer Fisher. Here's one of the workouts he used to prepare for the bout.
