What to Wear When Watching the Olympics
Be sure to dress the part when watching the Olympics next month
The London Olympics were a resounding success, but do you remember the closing ceremony when Brazil dropped in to give us a taste of what was coming in four years? Yeah – it was pretty great. The colours. The energy. Nothing against the red, white and blue of the Union Jack, you can make a sartorially sound look out of them, but green and yellow make for a perfect summer outfit. So in our roundup of Olympic-themed garb we’ve pulled together plenty of Brazilian-inspired clothes to kit you out from head (check out Lacoste’s sunglasses) to toe (flip-flops and socks – don’t wear together).
Of course, we’ve also included tops from the Stella McCartney–designed Team GB kit, which boast some rather advanced Adidas tech. If you’re looking for something a little less overt, may we recommend Adidas’ LA trainer? The style shot to fame after the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
