Ideal for MMA trainers, fighters and strength and conditioning coaches looking to expand their knowledge base, this 16-hour, two-day course covers a variety of subjects, including the history of MMA strength training, combat movement and programme design. Upon completing the course you’ll receive your diploma from its host and designer Juan Carlos ‘JC’ Santana – coach of MMA stars Cole Miller, Jeff Monson, Thiago Silva and Mike Brown.
Urban Krav Maga intensive boot camp
September 13th-17th, MMA Den, London
Hosted by Urban Krav Maga chief instructor Stewart McGill and four-time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu world champion Leo Negao, this intensive five-day course covers all the basics of how to defend yourself against the most common street attacks using Urban Krav Maga techniques. For more experienced martial arts practitioners – with at least four years experience in recognised fighting disciplines – it also equates to 50% of their qualification as an Urban Krav Maga instructor.

UFC: Nottingham
September 29th, Capital FM Arena
After knocking out Duane Ludwig in his last outing at UFC 148, British fighter Dan Hardy (pictured above) will be getting the opportunity to fight in front of his hometown fans when he takes on Amir Sadollah at UFC: Nottingham in September. The event – which will also feature rising British prospects Paul Sass and Jason Young – will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic.
