The Nike End-Of-Season Sale Is Full Of Running Shoes That Will Carry You To Your Next PB
Top running shoes like the Nike Vaporfly, Alphafly, Invincible and Infinity are all going for a song in the Nike sale
We have been waiting with bated breath for Nike’s summer sale to arrive because we expected big discounts on all of Nike’s best running shoe lines. That’s because all of the best models in Nike’s range have either recently been updated or have been available for more than six months.
The previous versions of recently updated shoes get given sizeable discounts, and being aware that the new Invincible 2 and Infinity 3 shoes, are similar to their predecessors, there’s a lot to be said for grabbing the older shoe for less than the usual price.
Shoes that have been out for a while include the Nike Vaporfly, one of the best carbon plate racing shoes and one that’s always worth grabbing at any sort of saving – considering how expensive it is.
Here are our picks of the best deals on running shoes in the Nike end-of-season sale. Browse for yourself at Nike US or Nike UK.
Best Nike US Running Shoe Deals
Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 2: Was $250 Now $174.97
Save $75.03 The latest version of the line that started the carbon plate racing shoe revolution is the first choice for many runners when chasing down PBs. The combination of the plate, and Nike’s bouncy and lightweight ZoomX midsole foam makes for a fast and efficient ride, whether you're speeding around a 5K or a marathon. Several colours of the Vaporfly NEXT% 2 have been reduced in the end of season sales, with the cheapest dropping to just $174.97.
Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%: Was $275 Now $204.97
Save $70.03 Nike just launched the Alphafly NEXT% 2, which we rate as an improvement on the original especially if you’re lining up a marathon this year. However, the updates to the Alphafly 2 are fairly modest and it’s eye-wateringly expensive at $275, so bagging a bargain on the original Alphafly for $204.97 in the sales is well worth looking at, since it’s still one of the best racing shoes available.
Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit: Was $180 Now $124.97
Save $55.03 The Invincible is one of the best cushioned running shoes available, with a joyously soft and springy ride, but its high RRP is off-putting. That means it’s a shoe we always look out for in sales, and it’s currently reduced to $124.97 on the Nike US website. The Invincible 2 has just launched, but in our testing of the shoe we found it to be similar to the original version, so you’re not missing out by bagging this bargain on the older shoe.
Best Nike UK Running Shoe Deals
Nike Air Zoom Tempo NEXT%: Was £179.95 Now £89.97
Save £89.98 When a sale says up to 50% off we don’t expect to find much worthwhile that’s 50% off. But we’ve sniffed out that very reduction on this colour combination. It’s a great training partner to the Vaporfly, being fast yet more durable.
Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 2: Was £224.95 Now £157.47
Save £67.48 The latest Vaporfly is the first choice for many runners when chasing down PBs. The combination of the carbon plate and bouncy ZoomX midsole foam makes for a supremely fast and efficient ride, whether you’re haring around a 5K or a marathon. Two colour combinations, including the Ekiden version, have been reduced to just £157.47.
Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit 3: Was £144.95 Now £101.47
Save £43.48 This is a fairly new shoe and so we are delighted to see it already receiving hefty discounts in Nike’s sale. The Infinity 3 is a cushioned shoe with a stable ride and a rocker in the midsole which is great for racking up a lot of miles at easy paces. It’s very durable and looks great for casual use as well, which only increases its value.
