Gym Prices Going Up? The Price Of Workout App Fiit Is Going Down
Fiit debuts a more affordable monthly membership with a limited selection of workouts organised into training plans
With prices of essentials going up, now’s a great time to look at your spending to see if you can make savings. If you've been paying double figures for an app to guide your exercise it may be one of the first things to go, But we’re happy to report that Fiit, one of the best workout apps, has today announced a more affordable subscription option.
Fiit’s Only plan offers 25 training plans, collecting existing workouts to help you develop everything from your general fitness and strength to movement or breathing.
The cut-down membership is available for $7.99 a month in the US and £7.99 a month in the UK, compared with the rolling $20/£20 a month unlimited subscription or $119.99/£119.99 a year. An unlimited subscription unlocks more than 1,000 on-demand workouts, as well as live classes and associated features that allow you to compete on leaderboards with other class members. The competitive element stood out for us in our Fiit review but the structured nature of a training plan, and an end in sight, should help keep motivation high.
The plan 14 Days Of Fiit is the ideal introduction because it’s a two-week plan that can be tailored to suit beginners. It incorporates three to four workouts a week (depending on the experience level you select) which will be 20 or 40 minutes long and include a mix of three “studios” Fiit offers – cardio, strength and rebalance.
For more experienced exercisers who are just looking to build muscle, there are three push-pull plans to work through, as well as a six-week rep-focused Real Strength plan. Most of Fiit’s strength workouts use dumbbells, so if you’ve had a pair gathering dust since you made a panicked pandemic purchase, this is a good opportunity to finally get your money’s worth. Alternatively, buy some from the Fiit Shop or follow our recommendations of the best dumbbells.
There are also treadmill and assault bike plans included, although they’re better suited to those with a gym membership – we can’t imagine many people have one of those lying about the house.
If you’re new to Fiit, you can also start a seven-day trial to see if it’s for you before spending the money.
