Six Things We Wanted To Buy At The New Asics Store
We scouted out the sportswear brand’s new Regent Street flagship store for you (and us)
The Oxford Street-Regent Street axis of athletic apparel welcomed a new flagship store this week, with Asics throwing open the doors to its new shop on 1st August. Coach went along to the launch night to scout out the best gear available in case you don’t live in London, despise going shopping or don’t fancy braving the crowded pavements of Oxford Street. You’re welcome.
Here are half a dozen things we’d love to have taken away with us.
Gel-Kenun Running Shoe
We’re big fans of the green gel on the bottom of this road running shoe (although the blue on the women’s version is even nicer), while the plain mesh upper is comfortable, stylish and breathable. £130, buy on asics.com

Tech Full Zip Jacket
Snug is the best word to describe this asymmetric zip hoodie. The fleecy fabric will keep the worst of the elements at bay on winter runs, and the zip runs up to the hood to keep your chin and neck warm. £65, buy on asics.com
FuseX Crew Top
Another fine pick for running on chilly days, this crew top is made from Asics’ MotionDry fabric, which wicks away sweat to keep you dry and comfortable. It has two zip pockets on the front to stash your essentials. £50, buy on asics.com
Gel-Kayano Trainer Knit
Our favourite shoe in the Asics Tiger lifestyle line-up, with a one-piece knitted upper that makes for a comfortable, sock-like fit. It’s available in two colourways, and we think the red edges it in the style stakes. £115, buy on asicstiger.com
Seamless Top
You can never have too many gym T-shirts and this seamless, sweat-wicking top is a great option to expand your collection. It has an extended rear hem to ensure you don’t show off too much skin during your more acrobatic workouts. £32, buy on asics.com
Hexagon Crew Top
The unusual hexagon design and zipped seams might not be to everyone’s taste, but we guarantee once you touch the absurdly soft fabric on this top you’ll put aside those concerns. £60, buy on asics.com
