This Stamina Workout Left Me In The Bin

There’s a saying in the fitness world, “in the bin”, which describes the feeling after an especially brutal workout. Your heart rate is through the roof, you’ve used every ounce of energy and you can’t do another thing.

This 60-minute session is great for improving your stamina, but it will leave you well and truly binned.

I do workouts like this when I’m full of energy and ready to sweat hard. It can feel like a slog to start with, but each round is over quicker than the last and begins to feel easier. An hour might seem like a long time, but if you work hard it can be over sooner.

If you have a friend of a similar fitness level, invite them along because you’ll probably put in a lot more effort in a bid to outpace them – or keep up.

You need three bits of cardio equipment: an air bike, a rowing machine and a SkiErg. Yes, it’s a bit of an equipment-hogging workout, so performing it when your gym’s less busy is a good idea.

It’s a descending ladder workout consisting of five rounds. With each round the distance or calories you need to log on each machine goes down.
