The Resident Evil game series started life as a homage to the films of George Romero and has since become an iconic staple of the zombie genre. With the latest movie Resident Evil: Retribution being released on DVD and Blu-ray, MF received an invite to take part in a Zed Events zombie survival experience, taking place in an abandoned shopping mall in Reading.
These half day events normally consist of running through dark corridors and abandoned shops, wielding Airsoft shotguns and taking part in what is essentially an interactive zombie movie. Well-rehearsed and planned out, these events are safe with no associated fatalities or serious injuries.
By contrast, the day MF's Max Anderton attended was a special Resident Evil themed event that had never been attempted before. Something bad happened that day and Max never returned. If you have any information as to his whereabouts, please do get in touch. However, if you do find him and he's been 'turned' - you know what to do: aim for the head.
