In order to keep the booze beast at bay, MF’s Sam Rider decided to fill the time he’d normally spend in the pub with Olympic lifting sessions.
 
To learn a few of the big lifts from one of the UK's best Olympic lifting coaches, he worked with with top personal trainer and former national Olympic weightlifting champion Mike Causer.
 
As well as helping him stay off the drink, this is a first step in preparing Sam for an Olympic lifting competition he’s going to enter later in the year. Look out for it in the mag.
