Top boxing conditioning coach Ruben Tabares takes two MFers through one of the workouts he uses to get fighters ready for the ring.
Ruben Tabares has trained boxers including now retired heavyweight David Haye and British super middleweight champion George Groves.
While David Haye didn’t exactly cover himself in glory in his final outing against Wladimir Klitschko, it certainly wasn’t his fearsome conditioning that let him down. Groves, on the other hand, used his awesome cardio and strength to outbox the much heralded James DeGale over 12 rounds, earning himself the middleweight title in the process.
