Michael Sawh
Michael is an experienced journalist, keen runner, swimmer and not too shabby footballer. As a contributor to Coach, he covers swimming and reviews rowing machines.
Michael has a BA (Hons) in Journalism and Media from Staffordshire University, and an NCTJ-accredited qualification in magazine and newspaper journalism.
His journalism career began in 2008 with a work-experience stint at football magazine FourFourTwo before he secured a permanent role covering sport and entertainment at Zoo. He then switched to the consumer technology beat at T3 magazine and T3.com.
His most recent role on staff was as editor of Wareable, an online publication dedicated to the consumer wearable technology industry. That time included testing and reviewing smartwatches, fitness trackers, sports watches and headphones.
Since becoming a freelance writer in 2019, Michael has written for GQ, Wired, Men’s Fitness, BBC Science Focus, Stuff magazine, Metro, Trusted Reviews, ExpertReviews, TechRadar and TechAdvisor among others. Michael has shared his expertise about wearable technology on the BBC's The Travel Show.
Michael is a 3hr 20min marathon runner and has completed 15 marathons across the world, including Berlin, Hong Kong and Seville. He’s also completed several aquathlons and swimrun events. He is also co-founder of YouTube channel The Run Testers.
